Dutchman launches life-sized replica of Noah's Ark
by bats in the belfry inhuibers, a christian, used books 6-9 of genesis as his inspiration, following the instructions god gives noah down to the last cubit.
translating to modern measurements, huibers came up with a vessel that works out to a whopping 427 feet (130 meters) long, 95 feet (29 meters) across and 75 feet (23 meters) high.
story here.. .

Hasn’t the floating Dutchman got better things to do?
Now if I thought the whole earth was about to be flooded and only me and my family were to survive, I wouldn’t make or buy a boat. I would hire one. After the flood it would mine to keep - that’s if all the dead corpses floating around didn’t pollute MY earth.

FINALLY! Can you prove God exists? If you can I won't ask again!
by punkofnice ini have seen debates and shizzle about god or not god etc etc.. i was even confronted by an aggressive and trheatening muslim in the street, who was angry that i wanted proof that god existed.
he ranted on a load of old b0110cks about 'hell' and stuff.
finally he yelled at me: 'do you want god to write your name in the sky?

PSacramento "I think that the life we have is the life we have because it has adapoted to this environment with that values that our universe has.
If our universe had different values, life, if there was any, would probably be "fine tuned" for those values, as we are "fine tuned" for Ours.
I think it is a matter of perception:
Is the universe fine tuned for Us or are we fine tuned for it?
That there universe can be so mathematically precises is amazing BUT is it mathematically precise because it IS that way or is our math precise for the universe we live in ?"
This could be your most insightful post ever.

Apparently more than 99% of all creatures that ever lived are now extinct. I don’t know who was around to count them all, but if it’s true then it's a poor result for a perfect god. On the other hand it is a tremendous result if all creatures stumbled blindly from one challenge to another as they evolved.
There is a possibility that humans will continue to over-populate the planet, run out of resources, fresh water, space and also become extinct. Such is life on this hostile planet. Is there is a biblical God that will step in and stop that? Or would he lose his patience and destroy us all instead, as in the days of Noah? Ah there's the rub!

if god exists, wouldnt it make more sense for him to show himself today - now that we are a more enlightened people?

dazed but not confused From the opening post. “The more I think logically and critically about god the more I hate the concept of GOD. Fortunately, from what I can see, that’s all he is… a concept. Man made.”
Thank you for tolerating my jesting. The reason I joke about such things is that I have done all the heavy debating and can’t take the idea of a personal god seriously any more. Here is where the problem lies. Humans have created a god in their own image and imbued it with their traits, feelings and expectations.
Whatever invisible forces are at work in the universe they demonstrate themselves on earth every day. Reality is what it is and no amount of pleading, pleasing or worshiping will alter the reality of our mortality. Those that are able to believe in a personal god are ‘blessed.’ Many humans before us have lived with courage and died expecting nothing more. Whatever we believe in, we will follow them.

dazed but not confused “O r am I missing something? ”
Only God! The question remains - is he missing you?
To clear up the confusion there are hundreds of gods. All the gods are welcome to my next party but they will have to bring their own ambrosia. Thrones will not be provided as I expect them to be on the dance floor. They can take their shoes of as I don't want stardust on my carpets. They are welcome to dish out rewards to my friends but can leave all that macho fire and brimstone stuff behind. My hopes of them attending are not high. It will be a miracle if even a dozen turn up.

Is it ethical to confess extramarital sex to your spouse
by Most Noble indurex's global sex survey has found that 44% of adults worldwide have had one-night extramarital sex and 22% have had an affair.according to a 2004 united states survey, 16% of married partners have had extramarital sex, nearly twice as many men as women, while an additional 30% have fantasized about extramarital sex.
there were also studies that have shown rates of extramarital sex as low as 2.5%.as many authors conclude, these kinds of estimates are probably understated because extramarital sex is commonly disapproved.. .
what do you think is it ethical to confess an extramarital affair?.

moshe It's no good just waiting, you need to set a baited trap.
Ten years ago I didn’t know whether to become a Buddhist, Atheist, Tibetan monk, Agnostic, Christian or Epicurean.
I’m still no further forward except that my Epicurean leanings are increasing despite the efforts of Christians to save me.
